ROBERT WILLIAMS
2006 CALIFORNIA HALL OF FAME
Induction by Lee Dennis

Bobby joined the NSSA in 1980. Since that time he has shot more than 100,000 registered targets.

Bobby has been active on the state and SoCal boards since 1986. He served as state President in 1988 and has been the state Secretary from 2002 to the present. While serving on the state board he has only missed one board meeting in the 20 years he has been involved.

Bobby was the SoCal President in 1987 and the Vice-President in 1986, 2005 and 2006. He has worked numerous State and SoCal Championships in the past 20 years. He has also volunteered and worked at many Comstock, Western Open and Zone 7 shoots. He has also assisted with the George Wiegand Memorial Skeet clinics.

In recent years Bobby has become our unofficial photographer at the shoots. For all of us who have worked with Bobby, we can attest to his dedication and hard work for the game of skeet.

For his dedication and unselfish giving of his time to the game of skeet we are honored to award Bobby Williams the first Alex Kerr/Lee Dennis Award and a place in the California Hall of Fame.

DOROTHY STONER
2006 CALIFORNIA HALL OF FAME
Induction by Bill Burke

Dorothy Stoner was the first prominent Lady Shooter in California. Her rein as queen began after the Second World War. Dorothy was named to 6 All American Teams from 1947 through 1953, winning many titles including State Ladies All-Bore Champion in both 1947 and 1951.

Jimmy Robinson, the shooting editor of Sports Afield Magazine and contributor to the Skeet Shooting Review, commented on Dorothy's skill in one of his columns, explaining how she was under rewarded for her accomplishments by the current All American point system, because of the small amount of Lady competitors in California at the time, and should have been a perennial First Teamer.

For her outstanding shooting ability we award Dorothy Stoner a place in the California State Hall of Fame.

Earl Stoner was one of the top shooters in California after the Second World War. He was often Alex Kerr's 2 Man team partner. Earl was on 5 All American Teams from 1947 through 1953.

Earl won the 12 Gauge in 1949, the .410 in 1952 and the 28 Gauge in 1953 and 1954 at the state championships.

Earl was the first shooter to shoot a 100 straight in the 410 in 1950 at the Ranch Inn Trap and Skeet club, Elko Nevada. At the same shoot Earl and his 2 Man team partner Alex Kerr set a new World Record with a 198x200. Earl and Alex set a new 28 Gauge record with a 199x200, Alex had a 99 in the event.

For his outstanding shooting ability we award Earl Stoner a place in the California State Hall of Fame.
